It’s AUDITION Time!!!

Whether you are a seasoned veteran of the stage, or a novice performer, don’t miss this great opportunity to mix with the best that Buffalo has to offer on the Compass Performing Arts Center’s stage this December by performing in the world premier of “Slices of Life” produced by Unique Theatre Company.

Show will run from December 2nd through 11th

We are also looking for volunteers for ushering, costumes, make-up and ticket sales!

FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP

Acting Fundamentals Workshop

Charlie McGregor is an actor and teaching artist who has his BFA in Performance Theatre from Niagara University. He most recently toured with Missoula Children’s Theatre – bringing the arts and putting on productions for various communities in the US and Canada.

1st Class, May 18th 7-8pm: Acting – Concentration, Memorization, Observation, Imagination

2nd Class, May 20th 7-8pm: Acting through Mime – Body Language, Isolations, Key Gestures

Compass Performing Arts Center, 545 Elmwood Ave

Cost is $45 for both classes, or $25 for one class.

2020 Show Cancelled

Due to the uncertainty of New York State’s status on re-opening theaters we regretfully have cancelled our 2020 show.
 
We are planning on re-scheduling as soon as it is safe to resume. We anticipate a spring 2021 show. Unique Theatre Company held auditions for the spring show and those who attended will be called for 2021. We will hold another audition for those who missed the first opportunity. Stay tuned for updates!

Unique Theatre Company has been very busy planning this year’s production! We will be holding auditions on August 6th from 6-8pm. If you want to come back or have never worked in theater – we look forward to seeing you.  DRAMA ACTIVITIES DEVELOP DECISION MAKING ABLILITIES, SENSORY

AWARENESS, SELF EXPRESSION, HUMAN INTERACTION AND SELF ESTEEM.

 COVERED IN THIS SIX WEEK COURSE INCLUDE:

1) MOVEMENT AND PANTOMIME (SELF EXPRESSION)

2) CHARACTERIZATION 

3) IMAGINATION 

4) RELAXATION AND CONCENTRATION  

5) VOICE AND DICTION

6) FIVE SENSES  

THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP THE STUDENT’S ACTING

SKILLS WHILE EXPLORING AND DISCOVERING THEMSELVES.
